What is the diamond insurance certificate?
This is actually the certificate of authenticity. It's the document you need to present to your insurance company in order to insure your diamond or jewelry.
This is the only mandatory document to prove that you indeed own the item as well as the notification of its value.
Why is it important to have this certificate of authenticity?
This certificate of authenticity is mandatory when you buy a piece of jewelry with one or more diamonds. These pieces of jewelry then have a certain value. This is a value that is more or less significant. It is therefore advisable to go to your insurer in order to insure your jewelry. This piece of paper proves that it is a piece of jewelry, that it belongs to you and its value is also indicated.
All it takes is for a malicious person to steal your jewelry or if you lose the jewelry and you can't find it for this document to save you! Having this certificate of authenticity and having presented it to your insurance allows you to be reimbursed. (Fun fact: it works a bit like your car insurance. You just had a fender bender and since your car is insured, your insurance will reimburse you so that you can repair it).
Be careful, not all insurances cover this kind of certificate. If yours does not take this into account, there are additional contracts that you can make with your insurer. That's why it's important to get well informed with your insurance.

How are the authenticity certificates for Celinni diamonds presented?
The Celinni authenticity certificate is a paper document that is provided to you as soon as you purchase a jewel or diamond from us.
This document includes:
- Your name
- The Certificate number
- The description of your jewel, for example: Solitaire Elle Round diamond 0.70 carat Size 56 18k White Gold 750/1000
- The purity of the diamond, for example: I1
- The color of the diamond, for example: H
- The estimated retail price
- The date
- The general principles of prior movable expertise
The retail price estimate is the price of the jewel in a jewelry store. This is the price that your insurance should usually reimburse you in case of loss of the jewel. This estimate is made with the experience of insurance claim settlements, so they are made in replacement value. As it is about gems or jewelry, the estimate will be made at replacement price in a jewelry store for an identical object.
The estimate is therefore not necessarily the price you paid for this jewel. It is estimated from similar jewels that are on the market. For example: a Celinni Solitaire can cost 2,390 € and on the certificate of authenticity the estimate is almost 4,000 €. The estimate is calculated on the basis of the same ring with the same characteristics and of equal quality.
How are the authenticity certificates for Celinni diamonds presented?
The Celinni diamonds certified by an international gemology laboratory are systematically engraved with the certificate number. At your request, the Celinni logo or a personal message (two first names, a date, a word...).
