How does our production and manufacturing chain work?

Supply of diamonds

Our suppliers

We choose the best suppliers for our materials. We have made the decision to work exclusively with suppliers certified by the Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC), Kimberly Process, BPP (Best Practice Principle), and Chain of Custody (COC).

These organizations ensure the following points:

Protection of Human Rights: the inalienable rights of all human beings, regardless of nationality, place of residence, gender, ethnic or national origin, color, religion, language...

Respect for Employee Rights: respecting fundamental human rights, treating workers and communities fairly and with respect, promoting a diverse workforce, and providing a safe working environment.

Security Measures Assurance: they ensure that security measures related to worker protection are effectively implemented.

Importation of "Conflict-Free" Diamonds: these are diamonds extracted and sold ethically and legally; they are not sold illegally to finance wars, terrorism, or acts of violence.

Anti-Corruption Efforts: addressing bribery and facilitation payments, considered forms of corruption - abuses of power for personal gain. Environmental Protection: companies with responsible environmental practices that care about the well-being of the planet.

Privacy and Confidential Data Protection: ensures privacy protection for workers from the design phase.

Certified Recycled and Traceable Gold: these organizations guarantee that the supply chain of provided gold can be traced.

Responsible Jewellery Council

The Responsible Jewellery Council is an organization founded in 2005 with the mission to promote ethical, social, and environmental practices across the gold and/or diamond supply chain from mine to retail. A company joining their initiatives must obtain certification within two years of membership, committing to implementing and promoting responsible practices in ethics, environment, and working conditions.

Established in 2005, the organization currently has nearly 450 members, with 310 being certified.

The Kimberly Process Certification Scheme (KPCS)

The Kimberley Process is an international negotiation forum that has brought together representatives from states, the diamond industry, and civil society since May 2000. The objective of this forum is to prevent the entry of "conflict diamonds" - rough diamonds used by rebel movements to finance their military activities - into the international market.

For a diamond to be considered exclusively conflict-free, it must meet all of the following criteria:

- There are no allegations of child labor.

- It does not finance civil wars, terrorism, or acts of violence.

- Workers in the mines earn a fair wage.

- Mines are safe and working conditions are adequate.

- Mines do not pose any environmental hazards.

Chain of Custody

The Chain of Custody (COC) is a certification issued by the RJC that certifies products manufactured along a supply chain have been produced sustainably and are free from conflicts. It is a standard that complements the RJC's Code of Practices. The COC standard provides requirements regarding the traceability of precious metals sourced, produced, processed, and sold. A "Traceability Chain" is a documented sequence that allows the identification of all stages in the manufacturing journey of a product. This system provides visibility into production practices, equipment used, and production locations.

Origin of our diamonds

Therefore, all our diamonds come from productions guaranteeing respect for Human Rights, respect for the planet, as well as a supply chain free from geopolitical conflicts. We have chosen to purchase diamonds with humane and committed certifications, so that you can benefit from ethically sourced diamonds that respect both humanity and the environment. Your diamond, starting from a certain quality, will also be certified by various laboratories such as GIA (Gemmological Institute of America), HRD (Antwerp Laboratory), and IGI (International Gemological Institute).

The use of precious metals

Our jewelry is ethical from stones to metals because we use only eco-responsible recycled gold and platinum. Gold recycling is a necessity when considering the ecological impact of gold mining. For instance, for the extraction of just 20 grams of gold:

Twenty tons of mining waste are produced.

450 kg of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere.

50,000 liters of water are used.

150 liters of fuel are consumed to operate machinery, leading to polluting extraction and refining processes.

Twenty kilograms of sulfur oxide are utilized.

These figures relate to only 20 grams of pure gold; imagine the pollution generated by the 420 tons of gold produced in 2019. By recycling gold and platinum, we help limit production and therefore reduce pollution associated with this industry.
