Ethiopian Opal

Recently discovered in the 2000s, the Welo opal, commonly known as the Ethiopian opal, has surpassed all Australian opals in popularity. Its name and its translucent to transparent color, which can be observed in various patterns, are the result of a remarkable discovery made in the Welo province, in Ethiopia.
