Interview with Anthony Airault, Jewelry Production Manager at Celinni

"Creating Excellence: The Journey of a Rough Diamond to a Timeless Piece of Jewelry"
Celinni: Hello Anthony. You are the conductor of jewelry production at Celinni. Could you explain the main steps in the creation of a piece of jewelry?
Anthony Airault: Of course. Jewelry production is both a technical and artistic process, and each piece we create tells a story. It all starts with the design. Our designers come up with models that combine aesthetics and technicality. Once the design is approved, we move on to material selection, particularly natural diamonds and 18-carat gold, which are at the heart of our creations.
Next comes the crafting, carried out by our artisans. Each piece is hand-crafted with millimeter precision. We go through several stages: melting the gold, assembling, setting the stones, and finally polishing. The final step is quality control, where we ensure that each piece meets our standards of excellence before delivering it to our clients.

Celinni: You mentioned diamond selection. How do you guarantee their quality and provenance?
Anthony Airault: At Celinni, we work exclusively with certified natural diamonds. This means that every diamond over 0.50 carat of superior quality comes with a certificate issued by an independent laboratory, such as the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). This certificate attests to the 4Cs: carat (weight), cut, color, and clarity. These criteria ensure that our diamonds meet the highest standards.
But it doesn’t stop there. We have a strict policy regarding ethics and traceability. We only source from suppliers who adhere to the Kimberley Process, an international system that combats the trade of conflict diamonds. Our priority is to offer diamonds that are not only exceptional but also impeccable from an ethical standpoint.

Celinni: You speak of artisanal craftsmanship. In the age of industrialization, why choose to maintain a manual skill?
Anthony Airault: Jewelry is a craft, and nothing can replace the human hand in this process. Each artisan brings a unique expertise, a sharp eye, and an artistic sensitivity that give life to our jewelry. For example, the setting – which involves securing the stones to the mounting – is an art in itself. The finesse of the setting can transform a piece of jewelry.
Our goal is to combine tradition and innovation. We use modern technologies, such as 3D modeling or wax prototype printing, to gain precision, but the final touch is always done by hand. This allows us to create unique pieces with soul and personality, pieces that will last for generations.

Celinni: As the production manager, what is your biggest challenge on a daily basis?
Anthony Airault: My role is to find the perfect balance between quality, cost, and deadlines. At Celinni, we have a motto: "Deliver the most beautiful jewelry at the best price." To do this, we must optimize every step of production without ever compromising excellence.
Another challenge is adapting to the specific requests of our clients. Many of our creations are custom-made, which requires great flexibility. For example, a client may want a diamond of a certain color or a personalized engraving. My team and I must meet these requirements while maintaining our quality standards and deadlines.
Celinni: Tell us about certification. How is it a guarantee of trust for your clients?
Anthony Airault: Certification is essential to ensure transparency and trust. Every diamond we sell comes with a detailed certificate, which is like the "ID card" of the stone. This document lists all the characteristics of the diamond and certifies that it is natural, untreated, and ethically sourced.
For our clients, this is a guarantee that they are purchasing a stone of real and lasting value. At Celinni, we even go further by providing detailed explanations about each certificate so that our clients understand what they are buying. We want them to feel confident and proud to wear or gift our jewelry.
Celinni: What do you think are the factors that differentiate Celinni in the jewelry market?
Anthony Airault: I would say that our strength lies in three key elements: quality, price, and customer experience.
First, we make no compromises on quality. Every piece of jewelry is the result of hours of work and meticulous inspection. Second, we have a direct sourcing strategy, meaning that we buy our diamonds directly from producers and manufacture our jewelry in our own workshops. This allows us to reduce intermediaries and offer the best prices on the market.
Finally, customer experience is at the heart of our approach. Every client is unique, and we do everything to ensure that their experience with Celinni is exceptional, from the first consultation to the moment they receive their jewelry.
Celinni: As someone passionate about your craft, what inspires you most in your work?
Anthony Airault: What excites me is seeing an idea transform into a tangible work of art. It all starts with a drawing or a simple customer request, and a few weeks later, we have a stunning piece of jewelry, ready to be worn. It's a real transformation, almost magical.
But what motivates me the most is the satisfaction of our clients. Every piece of jewelry we create symbolizes a precious moment: a proposal, a birthday, or simply an act of love. Knowing that we contribute to these moments of happiness is a daily source of inspiration.
Celinni: Finally, what message would you like to convey to our readers about your work and Celinni?
Anthony Airault: At Celinni, our commitment is simple: to offer our clients jewelry of exceptional quality at a fair price. Every piece we make is the result of meticulous work, a rigorous selection of materials, and a deep respect for our clients and our craft.
Our goal is to make high-quality jewelry accessible to everyone, without compromising on ethics or excellence. As I often say to my team: "A Celinni jewel is not just a product, it's a promise." A promise of elegance, quality, and emotion.
With Anthony Airault at the helm of production, Celinni continues to write its story of excellence and innovation. His teams, driven by a shared passion for jewelry, are committed every day to turning dreams into reality, one piece at a time.
