CLEANING GOLD JEWELRY

Gold is a very easy-to-maintain precious metal that only requires a simple action to restore its shine. To do this, simply place your gold jewelry in a container of hot water to which a little dish soap or soapy water has been added. Then let it act for at least ten minutes, then rinse the jewelry with warm water and dry them with a soft cloth.

For the most difficult to clean gold jewelry, it is also possible to restore their shine by cleaning them with a used soft toothbrush and an ultrasonic bath. The bristles of the toothbrush will thus be able to clean every nook and cranny and after a rinse and a dry with a soft cloth the jewel will be like new. We perform this operation free of charge for you in our workshops when the jewelry comes from our House.

CLEANING PLATINUM JEWELRY

Platinum is a very specific material and it is rare for platinum jewelry to lose its shine so easily. That being said, if you want to give a new look to your platinum jewelry, you can perform a quick cleaning with a soft toothbrush and a little soapy water for a platinum wedding ring or for any other engagement ring.

CLEANING YOUR SILVER JEWELRY

Silver will tend to tarnish more if worn daily, but it will also be very easy to clean. For this, we can use the toothpaste technique previously mentioned for cleaning gold jewelry like a wedding ring for example. We can also make a kind of paste with baking soda and warm water that we will also use with a soft toothbrush. It is then enough to rinse the jewel, dry it and polish it with a microfiber cloth.

CLEANING PRECIOUS AND FINE STONES

Gemstones and fine stones may seem to lose their shine when dust accumulates on them or products such as hand creams for example. Thus, a soapy water bath will be the best way to give them a clean so that they regain all their brilliance. A soft toothbrush can also be used to thoroughly clean every corner of your gemstone necklace, your gemstone ring or your bracelet !

SOME PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Cleaning your jewelry from time to time is a great habit, but it's also on a daily basis that you can take great care of it. Thus, avoid wearing them when doing sports, housework, or gardening to prevent shocks and contact with chemicals. Also, avoid wearing your precious jewelry when swimming in the sea or pool. Also, avoid applying cosmetic products such as creams or perfume to them. Moreover, take special care to store them in a suitable box or pouch, especially during transport to prevent shocks and scratches.

Finally, if you are unsure about the proper way to take care of your jewelry, seeking advice from one of our jewelers in one of our jewelry stores will be the best way to avoid mistakes.
